Production area
It includes a rather small territory within the Ancona province, to the north of the Esino River, and involves, globally or partially, 6 town halls: Morro d'Alba, Monte San Vito, San Marcello, Belvedere Ostrense, Ostra e Senigallia. The valley bottoms and the slopes of Senigallia hills, facing the sea, are not included in this area.
Grapevine
It is obtained from Lacrima vine grapes. Also Montepulciano and Verdicchio vines can be exploited, jointly or individually, bur only up to the 15%.
Organoliptic characteristics
Appearance: It is deep ruby red, with purplish shades during its first period.
Scent: Pleasent, intense, persistent and fruity. It recalls red fruit.
Flavour: Typical of this wine is its pleasant, dry, tasty and soft taste.
Alcoholic content: Minimum 11° C.
Optimum age
It is better to drink it when it is young, when its peculiar scent and flavour are brighter. It's an excellent wine even after meals.
